When creative agency THREE20 approached SHIFT Midtown to craft a unique experience for their client, Amazon Prime Video, the vision was clear: this wasn’t to be just a press dinner, it had to feel like stepping inside a scene from the film G20.

Inspired by the intensity of political thrillers and the elegance of fine dining, this one-night experience blurred the line between film and reality. Brought to life by creative agency THREE20 and hosted at SHIFT Midtown, this activation reimagined what a movie premiere could feel like fusing cinematic storytelling with immersive dining, interactive visuals, and live performance.
Redefining Film Marketing Through a
Multi-Sensory Immersive Dining Experience
Crafted for the premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s G20, this event was more than a dinner, it was a 360-degree sensory experience. Guests were guided through a five-act narrative, each paired with four bespoke courses and enveloped in projection-mapped visuals that responded in real time. As plates were served, the room transformed. Scenes from the film unfolded around diners through light, sound, and motion, while live actors moved through the space as if the storyline were unfolding in the room. SHIFT Midtown became a stage, a screen, and a set all at once turning dinner into a fully immersive cinematic performance.

Creating a cinematic dining experience meant synchronizing multiple mediums: projection, lighting, sound, live performance, and cuisine into one cohesive journey. The goal was to emotionally engage the audience while maintaining the intimacy and rhythm of a fine dining event.
